26 – 30 December 2018 Vilanova Park Nr Barcelona
Been back into Barcelona for a day. The Christmas preparations in Catelonia Square included a robotic giant and a mechanical book. Didn’t stop too long due to it being so busy.
Had another trip into Sitges by train and a cycle to Cubelles.
While walking on the sea front in Vilanova noticed these interesting tree roots. They are a bit like clouds, if you stare at them long enough you can actually see things!
Maureen still running and the weather is absolutely stunning as you can see from her running on the beach in Vilanova.
20 – 23 December 2018 Vilanova Park Nr Barcelona
Another god run for Maureen along the beach front in Vilanova. A better choice for her as we don’t want another dog bite. Trip into Sitges but of a trauma due to the fact that we have the Catalonian problem now instead of the ‘yellow vests’. It was the anniversary of the dissolving of the Catalan Parliament and we had road and rail blocks. The AP7 at Tarragona closed and only one train an hour going into Barcelona but hey ho! slow travel is better than no travel. Topped up with all our food for Christmas and photo below plenty of Christmas el caganers about.
Got the Cycles out for the first time here and found I had a puncture but on replacing the tube found that a storage box had moved during the drive down and broken the valve.

A good day today lovely weather and Maureen had her first run for a while after suffering with cold. We are usually good at spotting things on the beach and yesterday was no different we found “Sandy” see image below who now joins in our Christmas decorations.
14 – 18 December 2018 Vilanova Park Nr Barcelona
Had a couple of visits into Vilanova i la Geltru and also walked into town one day and walks along the beach. Took the train into Sitges to do some shopping and pick up some Mercado chocolate cake, yum yum! on the way in we noticed from the train a large bendi-bus converted into a camping car. Looking forward to getting a closer look and a photo for the blog when we walk into Sitges alongside the railway.
Went into Barcelona yesterday – saw this lovely tiger
We were very disappointed with the Christmas decorations. Still haven’t seen any to compare with Morris Leisure Oxon Hall campsite in Shrewsbury.
Gosh Maureen setting dinner (below)
Started putting up our Christmas decorations

A lovely warm day but slight rain so we had a trip by train into Sitges for a walkabout. They were making a film along by the church and was putting up an umbrella to keep the rain off the lighting (That’s what i call an umbrella) See image below.
The campsite has put up a lot of Glamping tents for this year.
Seen a lovely Santa a would be very interested to see what the present is O la la!
11 December 2018 Camping Albera Capmany SPAIN
Hurray, how lovely to be in Spain. While travelling down France not only was it the ‘yellow vests’ that created problems for us but the petrol pump robbed us of 21 centimes and Darian got a small coffee in a medium cup and the coffee was not drinkable.
Up early today just in case we had any more priblems with the ‘yellow vest’ brigade but no problems at all. Had a long drive with a 57 euro toll payment but not as much as northern France where we paid roughly 100 euros for 4.5 hours travel.
Arrived at Camping Albera at 1.45. Had good weather all the way here. Below picture of an anti-dog electric fence.
9 – 10 December 2018 Tournon sur Rhone
Walkabout in the town and some shopping and of course our visit to Valrhona chocolate factory Yum Yum.
There is a dredger outside the site that is interesting to watch.
We have decided to leave a day early due to the yellow vests protests as it is creating travel problems and we may need 2 days to get to Spain now.
The good news is my pretending to be Zorro at Starbucks still raises a smile. FAB
