Wedding Latrigg

Enjoyed 3 weeks in Keswick running, cycling and catching up with our many friends and lots of coffee. Managed to be out running up Latrigg when some running friends were taking their wedding vows in front of their many friends. We also saw the Skiddaw race but as we get older we only knew a few of the runners. Whilst out at Lingholm Gardens Café saw 2 of the Alpacas that graze there.

There was the Keswick Regatta and also a Music Festival in the market square and Fitz Park and the Scarecrow Festival in Threlkeld. The stay on the campsite was, as usual good, but does tend to get a bit noisy when the tents (Eurocamp style) are busy.

A very wet day today we had to get all our foul weather waterproof running gear on to stay dry for our walk into Buxton. So we did some more washing to help fill the day. There is a Fish n Chip van on site tonight so fingers crossed.

railway

The 2 pictures for today are unusual things that pop up !!!! The first is yes believe it or not a Toy Story actor on our site. And the second is a piece of railway line as a weight for closing a gate 1000 feet above Sea level.
