Cycle this morning to North Berwick for Bacon Butties and coffee at The Buttercup Cafe (what a lovely name). Well worth a visit. Back to campsite for a long walk along the beach North. Lunch then a few jobs around the van and another walk late evening on the beach again.
Tide out this morning so a run along the beach towards North Berwick turned at the signs for Nude Bathing Ahead it’s a really hot day and one could easily have a stroke? Wrong word (Heart Attack).
Got the bikes out and cycled into North Berwick for lunch then up passed the Law (not the police) the Hill to Tantallon Castle then back to the site for a thunder storm. Bumped into a fellow traveller that we met at Tynemouth again.
Took the Bikes in to have a service at Berwick Cycles 2 New chains break blocks for both bikes and a rear wheel straighten on Darian’s Bike (Will have to lose some weight). Cycle round the town and walk around the whole town while waiting for the bikes. Our usual walk on Spittal beach in the evening. (why are we always so tired?)

Different route into town visiting a lovely garden with lots of wood carved animals.
Had coffee then back to van for lunch then a walk to Spittal beach as the sea was quite rough.
Cycle up to The Chainbridge and ever to Scotland and Back with Linda and Ray. Had a good look round the Honey farm and the history of the Chainbridge had a good chat to a local who was born next to the bridge in the late 40’s about everything around the area very interesting.
Cycled back into Berwick for lunch then down to the Spittal beach.
Up early for a run along the beach down at the Spittle just a bit of rain on our way back. Walked into Berwick for coffee and cake then back via Halfords for some cleaner for the van. Noticed all these swans in the dock yard, today’s question HOW MANY? answer tomorrow. Click Image for BIG
Good journey up and a bit of shopping before arriving at our new campsite. Next morning a walk into town not so far here only 25 mins. Went to watch the Minden Day Parade which commemorates the King’s Own Scottish Borderers’ participation in the Battle of Minden in 1759 and the Scottish dancing in the Barracks before hand. What a fab day again.
