Lovely start to the day so a walk this morning up to The table d’ orientation a good uphill walk through the woods. From here you can see Mont Blanc.
After lunch rain rain rain!!!! but managed a walkabout in Tournon. The only people on site tonight.
10 December 2019 Tournon sur Rhone
A cold but sunny start to the day so out with the bikes and a short cycle up into the hills at the back of Tournon. Some shopping after lunch for some Lasagne and Gratin Dauphinois for tea from a local butchers in town.
9 December 2019 Tournon sur Rhone
Run this morning ouch! difficult after a few days of hard driving. Walked over to Valrhona chocolate factory for lunch Yum Yum, why do I always feel sick after lunch here? More walkabouts trying to get our legs back. Noticed a large digger in the river dredging.
The tourist boats are still operating this one parked outside the campsite.
7 – 8 December 2019 Geraudot Rives du Lac / Tournon sur Rhone
Early start from Folkestone for the tunnel got there early so got an earlier train. Arrived at Geraudot about 1500 after a long drive. Difficult booking in staff ??? if this site deteriorates further there will be a big hole in the ground !!!!! Walked down to see the “No Lac” see image below.
Next day we drove down to Beaune a 2 Hour drive but on reaching the site it was just as bad as last time no body about and no one on site(camping cars) so we gave it a miss and carried on to Tournon sur Rhone another 3 hours. The highlight of the day we saw 2 Wild Boar running across a field FAB. No sign of strikes or petrol shortage yet. Booked in had tea then went for a walk and came across a lantern parade. But returned to site due to rain at least its warm this year 12 C.
5 December 2019 Folkestone
Another wet day for traveling the van is getting dirtier every day. Called in at Vicarious Books to pick up some ACSI books then up to the Campsite. Washed the van then down into Folkestone for a walkabout and Coffee.
6 December 2019 Folkestone
Bad weather again but still caught the bus into Canterbury. Some shopping and coffee.
4 December 2019 Brighton
Another sunny cold day so off for a run on the southdowns again, further and faster (zoom). We enjoyed our walk from Hove the other day so did it again after lunch in Costa at Hove. Got our washing done ready to move.
3 December 2019 Brighton
Another lovely sunny day so walk into Brighton again Brighton and a look around the independent shops in The Lanes and spotted some new graffiti. After lunch a walk about down at The Marina.
2 December 2019 Brighton
A lovely sunny day although the inside van temperature dropped to 1 Degree last night due to us sleeping with the window open. A run again this morning on the Southdowns avoiding frosty footpaths.
Caught the bus to Hove a long journey as the seafront road is still closed after yesterdays gang fight near the sealife center. A good walk in sunshine back from Hove passed the i360 and spotted another upside down house like in Bournemouth.
30 – 1 November/December 2019 Brighton
Woke to lovely sunshine but very cold so we both got wrapped up warm and went for a run up The South Downs for 32 mins. A good run we enjoyed it. Then we walked the seafront into a very busy Brighton again for a look round the Shops another great day.
Sunday caught the bus into Eastbourne for a walk along the seafront by the pier and to look at the poor hotel that got destroyed (how sad) back for some washing and tea FAB day again.
29 November 2019 Brighton
Difficult drive down lots of road works arrived for Damp test in Portsmouth all OK then drove up to Brighton again slow roads. Into Brighton a lovely sunset a walkabout but very busy in town so back to the campsite for some washing and shower.
Noticed this site is having big problems with dog owners seems to be happening more.
