Had a run along the beach then we had a steady day just walkabout.

Picked the hire car up then drove to Benidorm with Friends for another horrible Costa Coffee.
2 – February 2020
Drove down to Alicante to pick our friend up. We stopped for a Costa Coffee the lady! who made the coffee was extremely rude after filling the cup only half full we asked her to top it up we got . returning to book her into the Sutopia Hotel went up to her room with her what a fab hotel. In the evening had a walk around the town and beach before going for a meal in town.

3 – February 2020
Had a walk with our friend to show her the layout of the town and some of the sights.

Drove up to Moraria but busy for parking so carried on up to Javia for lunch. Had a look around an unusual church here. We then drove up to Denia coming back on the slow roads to Moraria again to have a coffee break.

4 – February 2020
Drove down to Alicante up to the castle and walk in the town . Stopped off for lunch at Starbucks. We then drove to Santa Pola , Elche and Rojales to meet up with family.
5 – February 2020

Took our friend for a walk through the tunnel on the Ifach in Calpe. We then treat ourselves to pancakes and cake in Flanders coffee shop. We then drove down to Altea to look at the church and a walkabout.
Drove down to Calpe this morning the motorway is a lot busier now that this section of the AP-7 has no tolls and of course this brings a lot more silly drivers. Booked in and joined some friends for a coffee (surprised?) We had to wait 20 mins. and it was terrible so we have decided to find a new coffee shop.
29 January 2020 Calpe
Cycle down to Altea stopped for some water at the supermarket then carried on to Benidorm for lunch. It was a lovely day so Benidorm was busy. Out for 5 hours with stops but only 32 miles.
Big hand washing day, bedding, afterwards we walked along the beach to the coffee shop. We decided to have a couple of days off exercise so just had lots of walkabouts and coffee. It was the last day of the festivals in town it ended with a small parade and a spectacular fireworks display.
27 January 2020 Benicassim
Run this morning along the beach did well after our little rest passed two snails today WOW. Some more hand washing as we move tomorrow morning. All packed up clean van in and out looking forward to our next site.
They clean up pretty good after a busy night with festivities finishing at 0500 this morning. Decided to have a day off exercise and have a walkabout.

Walking along the beach we noticed the diggers putting the sand from the promenade back on the beach. We also thought you would like to see the root structure of the palm trees as the sand had been washed away from around them.

Walked into town and decided again to watch the bull running/baiting.

While waiting I found an opportunity to photo under a fairground ride “a first” ok WHY you ask?
Paella Day in Benicassim today so we decided to have a cycle on a new route to the town of Castellon a good route.
Had a walkabout in the town center as we are not allowed to cycle (only official hired bikes).
Stopped for cofffee and carrot cake and Muffin the carrot cake was the smallest slice I have ever had if there was any birds about they would have thought it was a crum.
Storm Damage
Cycled back along the seafront coming back noticing some storm damage on the golf course.
Had a walkabout in Benicassim to look at the Paellas.
Weather was good so a run along the beach after the storms found some kiddy stuff. Walked into town for lunch. Then cleaned our carpets and floor in the van. Another good day.
Cycle day today no rain yet. Cycle to Castellon again lots of damage again from the rain although the council are very fast at putting things right coffee in the back streets and some new graffiti pictures.

They are re-cementing the wall tops sweeping sand away and clearing fallen trees and objects from the parks. Got some hand washing done as its sunny. Cleaned the van as it was covered in sand. Some shopping a great day.
Moved pitches today onto a Gold pitch as our friends were leaving this morning. Virtually house bound today as bad storm or as they call it here “A coastal Event” Lightening and Thunder last night an epic. Managed a coffee but got soaking wet
21 January 2020 Benicassim
Massive storm again but we got all our running wet prevention gear on and walked down to the beach and into town for a coffee and some shopping. Still getting thunder.
As you can see from the pictures the sea front has had a real battering.
Cycle today up to Orapesa for coffee then back to Benicassim for lunch. The pop concerts continue three nights now, 0500 in the morning the music stopped ugh some people are saying they are not coming next year we certainly will not come during this week. The weather has changed and it looks like its with us for 3 days but we have been out for coffee in the rain today.
Trip to Castellon on the bikes this morning with friends for coffee and tostada and tomato then back to our favorite coffee house in Benicassim for Patatas Bravas for lunch with lots of coffee. Our usual walk to the beach for sunset.
17 January 2020 Benicassim
Run day on the beach then into town for the start of San Antoni week lots going on, Parades, bull fights, bull running concerts, fire crakers dancing and Paella day. The music last night started at 2300 and finished at 0330 in the morning and LOUD.
