Another wet rainy day but we did save our washing for today and I managed to get the van washed and saved having to dry it (must be getting lazy) Had a late evening walk and caught up with a friend that works on the site.
Managed to finish one of my projects that I do to keep me busy a BIG thumbs up to this One (HA HA)
4 September 2020 Fort William
Stopped at Petrol station to top up and then to Asda for a weeks supply of food. Stopped at The House of Bruer for a steak pie the last time we got one from here it was FAB.
Long drive in mixed weather on tiny roads at times arrived at 1200 Drove straight to pitch. The none serviced pitch area is very quiet this year. Toilet block – masks must be worn in shared building no supply of free sanitizer! A first. Maureen caught her first women exiting with no mask and not washing hands? #### I spotted a women emptying her coffee peculator direct on to her pitch without leaving the van. If you thought of the worst possible thing multiplied it by a million then that has happened on your pitch before you get here ####
A Knitted Bike Fort William
Caught up with some running friends from Cumbria that still love the area for a break. Our friend Theresa who works on the campsite is still working here.

Rain stopped so cycle up to The Nevis Range and had a bit of crake with a guy whose son was training for the World Trophy downhill mountain racing. Back for lunch then a cycle into Fort William. Then a walk round the back of the campsite.Below is a picture of The Dragon still in the woods below Anoch Mor.

1 September 2020 Stonehaven
Cycle day had a good wee cycle (no did not stop at the side of the road) about for a change going south then North, we found a road called Slug road (translates from Scottish to “Not So Fast” ) ideal for us both.
This morning ordered Fish n Chips online through a website from the No1 Fish n Chip shop in Scotland (we hope) to pick up. Lovely day so off for a walkabout for a change.
The fish n Chips were OK better than any we have had for a while.
29 August 2020 Stonehaven
Up early again for our 5 mile walk to Dunnottar castle then back for coffee, lunch then anwalk up to St Mary’s church (Cowie Church) small and interesting lots of family graves and an old Morte. We noticed on this walk the railway company is doing lots of work on the line above the road ready for briging in the heavy lifting gear to the crash. Evening walk to the Harbour.

28 August 2020 Stonehaven
Up early dull and windy just right for an early morning walk along the cliff path to Dunnuttor Castle Fab walk. It’s so good to get early exercise and rewarding to do a 5 mile walk or a 3 hour cycle and wonder what you can do from 0800 onwards.
Back into town our usual café has outdoor seating now still popular as tables with booked on some tables and the time of the booking lovely coffee back for lunch.
More Walking? Yesterday I mentioned about the stones of the beach and not many stone painters around here WELL look below how fab you can click on the image for a larger picture.
We may!!! Have some fish n chips here as the chippy has a good rating (we hope)?
27 August 2020 Stonehaven
Good walk early this morning before the rain arrived then some shopping before a slow drive up to Stonehaven due to lots of surface water on the roads arrived early afternoon and got a good pitch. A walk along the beach, coffee and time for a shower. Looking at the sign below I don’t think they get many stone painters here.
The Picture below looks like we caught the Loch Ness Monster on the beach here.
