We are keeping busy removing fungi from a fence round one of the letting cottages with white vinegar then power washing before we paint the fence with Ronseal via a sprayer very time consuming.

Lovely day today so walkies down the tracks again we noticed 2 unusual gate posts so did some research and found they are old railway sleepers manufactured about 1956 -1967 by Costain. Branded CCC with cast in Hoops.

A small covering of snow our first for about 7 years!

A lovely walk bird and fox tracks the only thing out before us.

Deep frost this morning but a bit of rain so managed to get half of the van washed.  A good walk although dodgy under foot. Muck spreading day today so tried to stop our friend for a chat so we could get warm from it as he passed. We are having a fun event with our friends to create a self portrait Picasso style. WATCH THIS SPACE

5 January 2021 Isolation

Back into lockdown but still lucky to be in the country side. Have walked down the farm track twice today the second time our friend was just putting some sheep into the turnip field so he let us nip in to get some. A lovely sunny day but still cold.

The farm tracks are so frozen we are still taking to walking in the farm fields with our friend. Maureen was first through the gate and got stuck in the mud? it smells a bit? and is a strange colour? her foot came out of the wellie and we had to remove her……….sock as she had stood in the mud to keep balanced. we managed to carry on in a different field.

1 January 2021 WOW a new year

A difficult drive over due to icy road conditions and being forced to take a detour on narrow roads due to an 8 car pile up. A picture of a wonderful present from our very gifted friend of a hand made vase with one layer round the vase of £5 pound notes I have removed them today and rebuilt the vase gosh it must have taken a while to build. Had a good walk this morning round one of the fields with our friend checking the sheep.
