A first for Berwick letting cruise ships arrive at docks the passengers are ferried ashore on inflatables about 8 at a time.
Had our bikes serviced at Berwick cycles everything looks good now.
Lots of walk about’s and coffee and cycling. Cycled down to Holy Island with friend 4 1/2 hour round trip 30 miles.
Managed to find a strange site on a beach a tennis racket and a lawn mower. Full moon so we noticed a low tide and the buoy is almost out of the channel.
Painted our friends block of wood to look as though some one was holding the van up.
Visit to The Old Hartley Whitley Bay friends joined us in their motorhome so a very busy time so no blog for a while. We have had lots of cycling up to Blyth and down to Tynemouth a few times and walks down to St Mary’s lighthouse and Seaton Sluice. Fish and chips one evening sat out lovely fish and chips again.
Travelled up to Berwick on Tweed a good journey stopped for some shopping busy site again. Still with friends so still busy cycling and walks. The bikes are going in for a big service in the morning so a walking day.

Enjoyed painting the friends van wood decided to paint our chocks.
Cycle into Durham this morning up to The Cathedral walkabout a Costa coffee then back to the site for lunch then a cycle up towards Seaham managed as far as Hetton-le Hole but the cycle way is a bit difficult overgrown and muddy patches so gave up.
Short drive today about an hour so we walked into Whitby again for a coffee and visited a few more streets a good walkabout. The drive up was good over the moors. On arrival lunch then we found a new cycle route to us Route 14 into Durham bringing us into town alongside the river.
A lovely sunny start so up early ready for a walk. A bad start really you can’t shave or brush teeth in the washroom sinks here as it is a Covid rule on the campsite. So this morning we caught a chap brushing his in the washing up sink CLEVER Eh ####
Good walk into Whitby this morning as Maureen wanted to do the 199 steps up to the Abbey. Walkies in town with coffee then lunch then a walk down to Sandsend on the road as the tide was in. Thunder tonight so a quick walk then in for the night.
Weather not good today but managed to get into town with out getting wet, Costa coffee what a bad place this one is but most stores seem to have a shortage of staff. Had a walk about and came across an unusual street sign.

Another walk towards Whitby before the rain then tea and another evening walk along the beach to Sandsend.
Booking in at Whitby 1400 so time for a walkies to the beach then the rain came. Stopped for some shopping (twice) so arrived at 1430 hooked up showered. The wash basins here so no shaving or teeth brushing in these sinks. I wonder how many offenders we see ?
A late walk into Whitby for some fish and chips (they were FAB) best we have had for a long time. Walked back along the beach.
Lunch then a cycle into Bridlington and managed to see a chap taking his Tortoise for a walk whose name is “Teacher” Also a lovely camper bus a lovely 5 spotted moth what a great day.
An early cycle on route 1 towards Humanby then back to Bempton cliffs RSPB (for a bit of bird spotting!) then back to site for lunch then on into Bridlington for a walkabout love the recycling bin.
Evening walk back down to Dan’s Dyke and found this little fellow see below hardly going to be a conker champ.

An early morning walk down towards Bridlington then along the cliff path back to the site then ugh some rain. Managed a couple of walks between showers. So washing day.
