Cycling again today we found a really good route into town lots of exploring visited the marina then into town along the banks of the river Ness.
Starbucks for coffee then called into Marks and Spencer’s for a new shirt. Noticed this stack of Logs in a yard.
Back to the site for lunch and some washing then an afternoon cycle to The Clava stones and The Cumberland’s Stone then back to the site.
There was a big cycle race on today and we saw the riders coming in after 68 miles round Loch Ness (Etape Loch Ness 2021) A lot were stopping on the campsite and some left at 0445 in the morning.
Cycle again today this time into Inverness for a walkabout interesting although not a big place. Good for cycling again bit of rain but it is so warm my shorts started to dry as soon as it eased up.
Up early as usual and away for our 25 mile cycle to Fort George. On the way through a little village called Croy we noticed a policeman with a speed gun luckily we were just under 30 mph !
Called in to a lovely little cemetery in the middle of nowhere on the way back.
We then turned into The Culloden battlefield visitor center just passed the Cumberland Stone, had a much needed coffee then back to the site for shower and lunch.
Had a walkabout first thing this morning and a lovely coffee this town serves the best coffee ever worth coming for. A good drive up to Inverness stopping for some shopping in town then a rest afternoon. This campsite has personal rooms and a barbeque house that you can rent.
A funny thing just happened on the site a young sheep was been chased round the site by a few people and I did manage to inform them that it should be on a lead it was so funny.
Tried a different cycle rout this morning but yet again too difficult for our bikes and to technical The Spey way is definitely a walking / mountain bike route. So we decided to go and have a lovely coffee again in Nethy Bridge as it is a good cycle. The below picture is of our evening walk looking over the Cairngorms towards Aviemore.
The next picture is the distance along the length of painted stones 2 inch apart from me to Maureen.
Up early for a cycle on The Spey Way cycle route a good start through the woods with lots of painted stone lining the path some up the trees there must have been a few hundred.
Back on the cycle rout we found the going technical lots of gates stones and as a last resort mud so we turned and cycled down the road to Nethy Bridge for a coffee a very enjoyable cycle out for 3 Hours walk into town then a late evening walk.
A last walk to Dunnottar Castle and a few walkabouts as we leave in the morning for Granton on Spey.

Good drive up on new ground never been here before. Campsite appears good had a walk about in town and checked out some cycle routes for the morning. Noticed the shop name Sandwitches (No not a spell-ing error)
Cycled into town this morning for a look around and while cycling down a vennel we noticed this odd sign
Moving day today so drove up to Stonehaven arrived just in time for opening on site. The swimming pool was due its Wednesday party time until midnight but due to rain it was not to busy.
