On the 28 October we were awakened at 0300 in the morning by movement on the campsite and realized the flood must be here, it is so unusual for this site to flood as the level was raised on the site by 3 feet a few years ago.

We used the internet on campsite to book Troutbeck head campsite for four days arriving at 1200 today. We left the site at 0455 and travelled up the A66 to a large layby where we slept until 0800.
