WOW what a windy night so scary with all these building works going on lots of noise and whistling wind through the scaffolding. At least they have finished the pile driving.

You know the money on trees thing from yesterday I got it wrong wheels grow on trees ?

On my afternoon cycle I came across some lovely houses.

Fist thing I drove to Morira for a coffee because it was still very windy then drove down to Benidorm for an other coffee and walk about.

an evening walk again wind dropped for now but expecting some more.

11 February 2026 SPAIN Calpe

Had an early morning walk into town raced this chap to the beach (He won). Nyctophila reichii

For any of you that thinks money  grows on trees how about picking yourself a lamp post lemon

Walked back through the Wednesday market it used to have lots of antique stalls now getting ugh!

Had a cycle to do some shopping then after lunch drove to Javia the picture below is where I took the other photo of the town from up on the hill.

When ever I look at this building I always think there is no room on the top floor ?

Love the design of this church.

Drove back to Calpe through Gata de Gorgos love the drive up through one of the biggest quarries ever.

Last Nights beach walk.

Had a drive down to Alicanti, Gran Alicant and Santa Pola along the coast road to see the camper van status not many at all usualy lots today about 10 on the whole road got a lovely picture of the island of Tarbica of Santa Pola.

A couple of walkabouts a cycle and some hand washing what a sad life Eh! Took some lovely pictures of the church.

After lunch drove up to Benissa but didn’t get a parking place so back to the site for tea and a lovely evening walk on the beach (Gosh it’s HOT here.

Below my hire car and a cycle path that nobody uses ?

A cloudy day at the moment with sun over towards Denia so a drive up to Denia then over the tops to Javia then back to Calpe for lunch.

Montgo really difficult run when I used to run it.

Then a drive down to Benidorm again.

An intereasting fact for you because of all the high rise blocks each house dose not have a wheelie bin everybody takes there rubish to these large bins that are emptied all the time 0100 in the morning glass at 0130.

On my evening walk on the beach noticed these lovely ducks.

7 February 2026 SPAIN Calpe

Walk into town for a coffee n cake not been getting enough coffee lately. Spotted a van????

These gulls are called Yellow legged ducks here.

Had a short cycle round the Ifach and picked some shopping up then decided to do some hand washing.

After dinner had a drive to Morira big mistake I should know after all these years 10 k  in first gear cyclists will not move out of your way EVER. Will not go on this road again while here. Did stop for a coffee again.

This morning was market day so some pictures from there.

3 walks  in Calpe today and 1 cycle love the sunrise behind the Ifach could not cycle round it today as the pebble beach had been pushed onto the path.

Decided after lunch to drive down to Benidorm on the coast road but there was a diversion in place at Altea so had to give it a miss today. Got parked up in Benidorm and had a walk on the prom its just like been in Britain and wow mobility scooters more than pedestrians.

I think tomorrow I will go the other way to Morira.

5 February 2026 SPAIN Calpe

Had a walk into town first thing to get myself an emotional support dog picked a boxer dog what fun. (Its a pen)

Picked a hire car up today about 500€ for 20 days. Drove up to Denia for a coffee n cake and a walk about.

Had a look at the stunning yaught’s in the harbor this is where you can catch a ferry to the Balearics.

The lovely Montgo mountain have run up this a few times.

Back to Calpe for an evening walk and watch the building works from the campsite.

4 February 2026 SPAIN Calpe

Early morning walk on the beach sunrise and into town then some washing and van washed.

They are trimming back the trees in the town over the next few days.

In the afternoon a cycle round the harbor and Ifach. We did get some fresh fish once here on the harbor.

Went to this cafe for a Bloody sandwich but it was shut.

Took some pictures of the climbing routes for a friend who has climbed this .

An evening walk again along the beach spotted this night club love the surveillance camera above the door.

In the afternoon also had a cycle round to see what campsites were still open.

Had a good walkabout in the old town to see if much has changed since last year.

This is my favorite graffiti’s love it

done some more cycling around and walks into town and on the beach. Been checking the shopping out Milk at last place 1.75€ here in Calpe same milk 1.99€ ouch found its cheaper in Mas y Mas supermarket will stock up when I pick the hire car up.
