20 March 2026 Brighton

Cycle this morning along the cliff bottom to Rottindean and back across the cliff top and down to the marina on to Hove for coffee.

This hotel burned down years ago.

Hope this is not a sign of changing weather ?

I am beginning to think these eyes maybe cameras watching naughty campers.

In the afternoon town again and into the Lanes jewelry side today and then a bit of shopping.

19 March 2026 Brighton

This sign is as shocked as me as a campervan came down the wrong way how unusual.

This is a charity.

This was new last year and seems to be doing well.

This is a famous night club in Brighton a new band was just arriving when I was on my way back in their bus.

Carried on cycling down to Hove for a Starbucks they were telling me that Starbucks are going to stop selling Chocolate Cookies Boo Hoo. Then carried on cycling down to Shorham,

Lovely houses and hotels here.

In the afternoon a bus to town and into The Lanes took lots of pictures and had a chat to a graffiti artist so lots more pictures tommorow.

18 March 2026 Brighton

Moved up to Brighton this morning so a coffee in Chichester before leaving. A good drive up with a stop for shopping. Bus into Brighton for a look. Brighton is YUCK as usual. The roadworks near the pier are unbelievable.

The last 2 Chichester / Brighton campsites are terrible the UK really needs some help with sites. Noticed a lump in the gravel so started to smooth it out (It was hiding a pile of DOG MUCK).

Other than the few problems and the sound of grass cutters I am good and managing the crap ………….. I am used to it. The gas tank here is not used as a tourist attraction like in Edinburgh they are letting it decay so they can build on the site.

17 March 2026 Chichester

Cycle down to Emsworth this morning for coffee and spotted the Black Swan.

Lovely shop and pub.

On the way back for lunch I remembered that these where here.

This van has a very long water pipe how naughty ! Did some more washing as my next site gets busy with it been a BIG site.

In the afternoon had a 1 1/2 hour cycle up to Bosham Quay

16 March 2026 Chichester

Bus into town this morning for a coffee and walkabout not much changed a few more empty shops.

Caught the bus down to Havant this afternoon for a look.

Drive up to Chichester this morning via Hedge end shopping c. outside Southampton. Good drive up weather not so good again but no rain yet.

Campsite still as uck no cash payments excepted now, showers not so good did some washing dryer needs 2 tokens not drying properly. Managed to get some cake at the farm shop yummy so everything is good.

14March 2026 Poole

Back in England short measure small coffee Costa really needs to get its act together getting sick of complaining to them they need to hire me as a secret shopper.

After my trip into town this morning had a cycle this afternoon how nice to put these rest stops in the countryside.

No ships in port this morning.

12-13 March 2026 Poole

Sat on the docks for 4 hours watching people and their weird view on life going for a coffee at boarding time and holding loading up driving up to the ship with a young babby on the driver’s knees? I got loaded and had tea just a soup and a thousand cakes. Very bad weather the ship was rocking and rolling all night. At 5.05 in the morning photo of my digital clock displaying an SOS.

After leaving the Bay of Biscay the wind and waves were  coming from behind us so not to bad. Lots of coffee and cake today and a soup before leaving the ship for the drive down to Poole tonight will get to the site about 2230 I think. Got held up on the ship managed to get to the campsite 0030 bad weather, road works rain and floods o heck.

Caught the bus into town met a lovely couple and sat having a chat over coffee in Poole. One thing that changes every time I come is the Yarn Bombing.

Did some shopping then another cycle down to Poole docks to see the Twin Sails bridge that has been left open for a long time due to it been closed for 5 months.

Just bumped into a couple I met in Harrogate my friends say once seen never forgotten EH! they recognised me (The picture man)

11 March 2026 SPAIN Haro

Some old photos on display in Haro looked a very community strong town.

Move to Santander for my ship at lunchtime so will be uploading this page early.

10 March 2026 SPAIN Haro

Graffiti and Statue day. Some thunder and lightening over night and some rain it’s getting me ready for returning to the UK.

A  cold morning 9 degrees outside 10 in the van so a brisk walk into town when the coffee shops open and a sandwich and  a Fanta for the docks while waiting to get on the ship. In the afternoon temperature up to 20 degrees.

The artist and his subject XX
