Continuing the cleaning of the van ready for habitation before my trip to Spain. Had a lovely walk down to the beach again spotted a possible house that may have a pot of gold under it at the end of the rainbow.
At the weekend called in to look at the antiques in the shop in Allonby.

Woke to a lovely day 2 suns? so a walk down to the beach.
Had a drive over to Keswick again for a coffee with a friend, a good day called in at Workington for some art work I was having printed will try to post the new art later but this is a BIG picture I have just framed today. The can is in the picture so you can see the size.

Some really bad rain Keswick campsite flooded and the roads near me the field outside where I am is like a boating lake. Coffee with a friend at Moota Garden center.
This is a picture of the guitar for my Dire Straits (silly) tribute act soon.
Had a cycle down to Maryport lovely to be on the bike again.
Could be a dangerous cycle aggressive golf balls.
You can still buy fish straight from the trawler here.
Low tide so the gate is shut.
The campsite on the harbor has plenty of pitches at this time of year.

1-2 November 2025 West Coast
Had a drive up to Silloth today and Workington for some shopping very difficult to park in Workington but twice round the town and got one.
Today drove into Maryport for a coffee with a friend trying the new promenade cafe not for us to many dogs and a small area tables to close to each other coffee not hot enough so will not use again.
Had a walk down into Allonby the old reading rooms now converted to a stunning house looks good.
But its an old fishing town having 10 pubs in the 1800 and before that a great place for smugglers with a trail across to the Lake District.
In the afternoon some more work on the van and some drawing and a chat with friends for an hour.
31 October 2025 West Coast
Still working on getting the van ready for its habitation check lots of cleaning and sorting out. Had a walk onto the beach this morning with views over to Scotland.
Had a drive on to the seafront at Maryport to have a look at a new cafe that’s just opened this year may have a coffee one day.

Moved over to the west coast of the Lake district to have the vans Habitation check soon so cleaning out over the next few days. A washing day as well.
Had some pumpkin soup and don’t look so good.

Coffee at Threlkeld this morning bumped into a friend I haven’t seen for about 5 years FAB XX. A damp day so not to much going on today.

A trip down to Grasmere this morning its a while since I looked at the Wordsworth grave.

WOW fond memories of this road no good for going upwards in car or bike.
Another lovely cake in Keswick. Had a few walkabouts today in town.

Gosh rain rain rain again managed a drive for a coffee and a wet walk hope its going to be safe on site.
