Moved up to Caceres this morning glad we did not move when the clocks changed we would never have got here, left at 0800 for a 2.5 hour journey crossed a border clock jumped forward 1 hour so we arrived at 1130 if the clock had moved to spring time wow. Rest day to catch up with washing and clean the van after some wet traveling the weather is a bit unsettled at the moment.

Caceres Holy week ( Semana Santa) Lots going on for 9 days here lots of processions with thousands of the brotherhood orders, town full of tourists. Had a good walk about in the old town and the shopping area stopped for some traditional food just of the main square a bit cheaper.

Travelled up to Evora, walked into town 20 mins. Walk about to the Cathedral, Temple of Diana the crypt of bones and Museum.

Topped up shopping at a super market and had a relaxing afternoon.

Last Day in Portugal my MojO completely ran out in Portugal  it has become a place not to return to again.

3 .5 Hour drive up from the Algarve toll cost €40 went into Lisbon via bus and Ferry to Belem caught tram to the center and had a walkabout, the city is busy as there are 35000 runners here for the Lisbon Half Marathon.

2nd Day over to Lisbon wow what a busy day the town is at a stand still due to the race difficult moving about and you need transport here to get from Belem to the center so walked half of it.

Had lunch in town at Time out a massive eatery at the market we both had… Bochechas Porco Preto (Any one want to Guess).

Tried to cycle to Cadiz via Puerto Real, had a few problems again it is impossible to get there easily due to road constraints. (Ask us about this one Opps!!) 3 Hr. cycle.

Arrived early booked in to this rather not so good site. 20 mins Bus to Sevilla had a look round the Cathedral again. Had another bad Costa Coffee experience.  So tried Starbucks next day a bit better.

Walked around Alcazabar  ( King of Spain’s residence) Lovely gardens interesting again a bit better than Granada.

Moved down the Algarve to 4 Star luxury for a couple of days not stopping longer as 5 days of rain heading this way so will move north towards Lisbon. Cycle to Luz then a spot of lunch then cycle to Lagos.

Cycling day started on a cycle path ended up in a Maze finishing up at a Navel Base could not get to Rota easily so abandoned after 2 Hr.

Run this morning along beach area to Puerto Sherry again adding a bit. Visited the Osborne Bodegas and picked up a couple of bottles of sherry. After seeing all the Osborne bulls all over Spain we thought we had to visit. Bumped into Christine and Roberto who we first met in Barcelona 2 years ago had a good catch up.

Run this morning then over to Cadiz for a walk about and lunch, I don’t think we need to come here again its a bit ???? In our 8 years of none stop travels we have loved everywhere we go all places have good and bad points of which we have enjoyed even NAFF Gibraltar. we did meet two Australians on the site that we gave some help to and they said they were giving it a miss ? back to Cadiz run down dirty rip off prices for rubbish food.

Drove down to Tarifa booked in then drove to Bolona to look at the Roman ruins CLOSED Monday lots of wild campers down here due to high winds for wind surfing, also lots of windmills.

Took a wrong turn at one point and ended up in the Sahara desert. (see Picture).

We are just a short way from North Africa you can see it from the beach. Drove up to Gibraltar for the afternoon had a walk about by the marina looked at the Ship Hotel that we where going to stop in looks good, it is so British down here that we got soaking wet( to the skin), crossing the runway was like been in an Arctic storm WOW is not a loud enough phrase for how we felt, we then had to speed undress (I won) as we had to leave the parking area within a set time lots of wow’s today.

Had a walk on the beach in the evening. Tomorrow will have to wash the wheels as they covered in mud from a bad pitch they are down a couple of inches good job we have traction control for getting off in the morning for our journey to Cadiz.

Arrived nice n early good pitch. Heated swimming pool “Open” 6 Km east  from Estapona €15 per day ACSI, walked on beach one way had lunch and walked the other way the beach flats are lovely can see why Cilla Black lived here. Good views of Gibraltar across the Bay.
