Still in Keswick lots of coffee with friends and lots of exploring down in Grasmere the que outside the Ginger Bread shop was massive.
Decided to go up to Penrith good move I came across one of the 23 bears spread around England WOW.
16 – 22 October 2024 Keswick
Surprise view a good time to visit on an evening narrow roads but no cars around at night.
Spending a few days with friends driving all over the lakes and visiting lots of lovely places and a few coffee shops. Visited The Stone circle to charge up my soul. XX
We have had some bad rain and storms as you can see at Maryport.
A drive round Thirlmere Lake as it has been shut for about 2 years and 2 days after this picture it was shut again due to a rock fall.
The ducks love all the rain.

15 October 2024 Keswick
Had a day out in the car drove down to Windermere and Bowness coffee in Costa and bumped into someone I know! Spotted these lovely wood carvings.
Unusual name for a chippy.
Drove up to Hayes Garden center to see the Christmas display then a walkabout in Ambleside.
Sotted a Swan Lake resident but don’t know where Lake Swan is ?
13-14 October 2024 Keswick
Still driving around and cycling in the Lake district below is a picture of the river erosion eating the bank away.
The next picture is a fell that I used to run down from the summit in 10 mins.

Called in to see a friend at their coffee shop a lovely quirky place well done to them.
Bad weather rain on and off the last couple of days so spent a bit of time driving to Grasmere and round the Lake district.

Had a walk down to the lake this morning passed the small boating lake to the real thing.
The flowers in Hope park are still doing good.
Market day and it looks like they are getting the Christmas light ready. A lovely sunny day with lots of walkabouts.

Coffee at The cheese factory with Wallis and Grommet then spotted an unusual thing in the washing up area.
A good drive up through the lakes but lots of road works. On arrival to Keswick the best coffee I have had for weeks with friends.
8 October 2024 Hawes
Only takeaways 7 October due to staff problems (Get a grip Costa)
Back in Hawes coffee in Fodders before leaving a good drive up but country roads are a bit muddy at this time of the year.
Washing today nice big machine here. Coffee at The Creamery not bad for a change just busy with tourists.
Because there is no food waste bins in the washing up area on some sites people have started throwing there food waste under the bushes outside the toilet block here in Hawes UGH!
6 – 7 October 2024 Harrogate
Pick your own mushrooms on the pitch.
Meeting up with friends on a morning for coffee and chat disaster again this time in Starbucks Wetherby road. Ordered 3 Latte in take away cup made us 2 in cups and said that’s all we ordered until the girl was told by the girl on the till. Waited 15 mins for the order and we were 2nd in he que the lady in front told the staff she was never coming there again. Cars in the drive through were constantly turning round and driving off a Misérables experience in Harrogate.
In the afternoon had a cycle round Horbeam Park.
There is a massive Truck auction on soon.
5 October 2024 Harrogate
Sotted on my morning walkabout.
Met friends for coffee at Costa Harrogate this is the 3 bad coffee in 4 days Costa needs to get a grip this one was cold so we took 2 of our 3 drinks back yes and you guest it came back 2 hot.
In the afternoon had a cycle into Harrogate and called in for a Starbucks and yes it was good and I got super service you can see why from the below picture think I will go again.
I wonder what this says?
