11-14 September 2023 Harrogate
Met up with friends for lots of coffee cake and chatting. Fodders is getting very expensive now so we are thinking of changing coffee shops next time we come possibly Sainsbury’s where they have just installed some new electric charging points.
A few cycles while we were in Harrogate to town and Ripley Castle a lovely stay once again.
7 -9 September 2023 York
Our second visit to York this year we booked in a day early having been lucky to find a vacancy.
A slow steady drive on a quiet A19 arriving just after 1300 lunch then a walk about BUSY!
Our usual walkabout twice a day in extream heat Ouch! Met up with family one of the days always lovely THANK YOU.
5 September 2023 Thirsk
Walk out to Killerby Glass for a look round the works and shop coffee stop. Spotted the picture below.
Drove to Thirsk Racecourse Site we were staying 3 nights but on arrival told that the day before the race (Our leaving day) that we would have to leave by 1000 we did not see this on our email and as we only have a 40 mins. drive to our next site it would cause us some inconvenience.
So we altered it not an easy job with the motorhome club Ouch!
Walk into town for an initial look.
6 September 2023 Thirsk
Into town for a walkabout found a good coffee shop and sat outside people watching for a while. Some great Yarn bombing on a racing theme.
In the afternoon a look round the church and ice cream (yummy)
4 September 2023 Cayton Bay
Decided to hand wash my jacket this morning before catching a bus into Scarborough and decided to do a rinse and spin WOW it did a full wash for a pound and instead of 10 mins. it took 50 mins so we would have missed our early bus but it Blobbed and the next bus was full full full beyond its limit people sat on the stairs to the upper deck ?
An unusual site on a motorhome club site.
On arrival in town a walkabout then Maureen wanted to relive her childhood and get the tram back into town. Maureen said she was at the opening ceremony.
In the afternoon a walk down to Cayton beach.
3 September 2023 Cayton Bay
Bus down to Filey this morning dissapionted with the choice of coffee shops lots closed had awalkabout then back to the site after lunch a walk to Cayton Bay beach.

Coffee in Whitby before leaving shopping stop then on to Cayton Bay. Laundry day due to rain.

Bus into Scarborough loved it its a long time since we were here, a proper seaside town with donkeys still on the beach in the afternoon a walk into Cayton and along to Killerby Glass (intereasting)
31 August 2023 Whitby
Had a walk into Whitby coffee and we managed to see a Pirate in Costa Coffee. had a good walkabout round all the shops. In the after noon a walk to the beach and back along the cliff top.
