23 February 2023 Henley on Thames

We have a good leaflet on the town and Midsomer Murders location so have spent the last 2 days checking them out.

24 Walk down to the wier again and looking round the town went to look at the 120 roomed house that George Harrison lived in but could only see the gate house.

This cottage door has the remains of the old locks because in the early days People took the locks and keys with them when they moved house.

This campsite has its own swimming pool.

Walk into town and along to Marsh Lock and weir

In the afternoon a walkabout noticed this swing on a garden tree 40foot high. Also spotted a life saving ring with words of confidence on it?

Walk into Oxford this morning for coffee then moved to Henley a short 38 mins drive on good roads.

Private site Swiss Farm Henley on OK site. Walked into Henley 15 mins. Had an initial walkabout to get our bearings and look at the the river where they hold The regatta.

Walk into town this morning looked in to Starbucks (not to good) Ugh! so walked along to Costa and had a coffee its a long time since I have been in such a dirty coffee shop Ugh! again. Checked Trip advisor not good ratings for either of these. Had 3 walkabouts today looking around. In the afternoon had a walk along to the Motorhome site Ouch to close to the road we made a good choice with swiss Farm.

17 -19 February 2023 Oxford

In to Oxford every day walk in along the river side then a bus back. Lovely to see the boat racing twice while here.

We were here when this coffee shop opened !

16 February 2023 Cheltenham

Again into Gloucester for a walkabout and coffee, in the afternoon Cheltenham. The campsite is looking a lot better in the toilet block having been done up but the wifi on this site is abysmal and has been since 2018 rubbish.

Visiting Gloucester and Cheltenham each day and looking for pictures we did notice the statue in The Cathedral grounds made completely of knives.

Called  in at Costa in Next store at the keys there are 5 Costa’s here?

Into town for coffee then travelled up to Cheltenham motorway Ugh! but roads dry.

Into Cheltenham this morning for a Starbucks and walkabout then back to the site in the afternoon tried to get into town but 2 buses did not turn up so some shopping then back to the site.

Valentines Day today (we call it cuddles day Lovely XXX) Into Gloucester this morning then Cheltenham this afternoon doing our usual never go down the same street twice and noticed some great new places.

Woke this morning to spot a HOT air balloon -2 outside so maybe a cold air balloon it was not up for long. Walk into Wells before leaving for Bristol Wharfe. A good journey up on dry roads again FAB.

Walk down towards town for some exercise.

Walk into town for a coffee and spotted a light festival on this time of year.

In the afternoon a walk up to Cabot Tower ( Interesting route )

Noticed the pump room open  this supplied all the water for the cranes and dock gates.
