Had a lovely time in Keswick, busy and some bad campers,  below are a few images of our stay as we move today.

13 – 16 October 2022

Lots of coffee and cake with friends one set of friends managed to get a coffee for me with the word Normal on ???? and another friend got one for Maureen with Skinny on !!!!!

Lots of driving around looking at some of our favorite places it is a bit more difficult now on these narrow mountain roads as cars are so much bigger even an old car we came across looked rather large.

10 October 2022 Keswick

Drove over to Keswick via Skipton and Ingelton stopping for coffee and a bacon sandwich at The Harvester FAB. Had to use the M6 after Kirby Lonsdale due to an accident in Ambleside. After lunch picked our car up.

11 October 2022 Keswick

Coffee with friends at The Theatre at the Lake then had a few walk about seeing a few friends.

Christmas decorations in Hayes Garden World Ambleside below

Van had its MOT and service all OK a wet day so drove down to Windermere for coffee at Lakeland Store had a look where the Boweness campsite was for future use maybe. Wet afternoon.

7 October 2022 Harrogate

Walked into York before leaving for Harrogate a short drive calling in at Monks Cross for some shopping. Met up with friends for coffee in the afternoon BUT not allowed to sit outside due to rain and not allowed to buy takeaways from fodders Sooo we had to get some takeaways from the Airstream coffee van outside and it was cold and the Hot chocolate a lot weak Ugh.

8 October 2022 Harrogate

Cycle to Riply Castle along the greenway( Brown-way due to horse muck doggies and leaves. AGAIN not allowed to sit in a part of the coffee shop where we could watch our bikes until the area we were in was full ? Coffee good and cake super. In the afternoon coffee at Costa Starbeck.

9 October 2022 Harrogate

Decided to cycle into Harrogate due to the cleaning time to get our bikes clean if we used the Brown-way again. Lovely coffee in sunshine today. Afternoon Coffee in Fodders as the outside area open.

5 October 2022 York

Wet start to the day so Laundry today. Rain eased up so a walkabout in town also managed a walk in the sunshine in the afternoon.

6 October 2022 York

Cycle in the morning, walk in the afternoon and we managed to do our thing where we go where we haven’t been before a bit difficult when you think over the last 50 years, we have been here about 100 + times.

3  October 2022 York

Cycle into Bridlington for coffee as only a short drive to York some shopping arriving at the Queue at Rowntree Park York.

Lunch then a walkabout in York. If you love cycling in this area do not buy a Carrera ?

4 October 2022 York

Walkabout in town and coffee then in the afternoon a walkabout in Rowntree park and alongside the river.

30 September 2022 Bridlington

Before leaving Whitby had time for a coffee down at Sandsend. Good drive down called for a small shop.

bad wind and lots of rain on arrival so picked a sheltered spot but lost the sunshine over the next 2 days.

1 October 2022 Bridlington

Walk first thing down to Danes Dyke then a coffee at Marton Grange Farm shop. Lunch then a cycle into Bridlington along to the South Beach.

2 October 2022 Bridlington

Coffee then a cycle down to town to see the Half Marathon and the soapbox race on the south beach very interesting never seen one live before only on TV.

In the afternoon a cycle up to Flamborough Head lighthouse and a late evening walk.
