28 September 2022 Whitby
Left for Whitby about 1100 called for some shopping a good drive down over the moors arrived 1300 cycle into town for fish and chips (a bit expensive here). Started to rain when in town but due to us buying some Hartley’s Jam that morning it stopped for our cycle back to the site.
29 September 2022 Whitby
Met up with some friends that we have not seen for a few years had coffee and cake down at Sandsend and a catch up. After lunch a walk into Whitby for a look around.
26 – 27 September 2022 Durham
Cycle into Whitley Bay before leaving for Durham. A good drive down only 35 mins. Cycle up to B&Q for some tie wraps to change the battery in Maureen’s Rubbee sensor working better now.
Cycle into Durham for a walk about on a lovely sunny cold day.
24 September 2022 Whitley Bay
Into Whitley Bay for a costa coffee and 4 lovely muffins from Greggs. An afternoon chatting and catching up with friends.
25 September 2022 Whitley Bay
Down to Blyth again on ship watch and coffee and lovely scones again. An afternoon with friends.

Called in for some shopping and noticed a very unusual piece of parking?
Met up with a friend and walked out to St Mary’s lighthouse to see the seals then a coffee back at the site. Later we all went down to the fish and chip shop in Seaton Sluice for tea a lovely day.

Bad weather confined to the van Ugh!

Cycle into Blyth with friends for coffee and cake at Ridley Park. In the afternoon a cycle into Whitley Bay for a bit of shopping and look around.
18 September 2022 Berwick
Walk into town for coffee and a walkabout bad weather today so a bit confined to the van.
19 September 2022 Seahouses
Moving day so a short walk along Spittal beach seafront then back to watch The Queens Funeral. Left the site late then drove down to Seahouses.
Walk around the harbour and town.
20 September 2022 Seahouses
Cycle down to Beadnell Bay then back for coffee and wonderful cake. In the afternoon a cycle to Bambrugh. In the evening Walkabouts round the harbour and beach.
14 September 2022 Berwick
Cycle into Dunbar for a coffee and walkabout before leaving to Berwick. Good drive down stopping for shopping site very busy so got a bad pitch on the railway line (sounded like it) moved next morning on to (The watchers Pitch) 36
15 September 2022 Berwick
Cycle in and around Berwick coffee at The Northern Edge cafe with cake! Afternoon walk to Spittal beach.

Walk into town for a look around coffee cake then back to the site, unhooked and topped up our shopping and fuel due to Monday’s closures.
17 September 2022 Berwick
Walk into town and onto Spittal beach and walked to M&S for some shopping.

Walk down to Cramond beach before leaving for Dunbar some shopping and a steady drive down. Lovely campsite good reception? for a change.
Late evening walk to lighthouse.

Cycle into Dunbar easy route 2 and half miles. The harbour was very interesting and the castle. Coffee then a walk along the high street with some very interesting shop names “Beer Zoo” “Crunchy Carrot” “Sweety Bank” and “Kick Ash” and others.
A good place to visit.
9 September 2022 Edinburgh
Wet weather (showers) managed a walk onto the promenade by Cramond beach. In the afternoon walk in the other direction to supermarket.
10 September 2022 Edinburgh
Cycle into Edinburgh again roads closed ready for funeral procession difficult getting around town. Cycle in the afternoon down towards Leith but again they are building a new tramway for the last couple of years making it difficult again.
11 September 2022 Edinburgh
Lovely weather today so a cycle into town before it got busy lots of road closures for procession. Back to the site for washing day again then watched the procession on TV.

Before leaving for Edinburgh we had a walk up to The Wallace monument, then called for some diesel and shopping and down to Edinburgh stopping of at Go Outdoors for some toilet fluid. Lunch shower then rain Ugh!

Cycle into Edinburgh our usual route taking in Holyrood up the royal mile for a Starbucks were The #### hit the fan NO #### means rain? We have NEVER cycled in so heavy rain, we got soaked to the skin and were cycling through water up to 4” deep and after 30 mins started to feel cold but what an experience ???? Washing of course after that then confined to the van for the rest of the day.
5 – 6 September 2022 Stirling (61 Campsites 134 Cycles)
Good drive through Glencoe what a difference a good night’s rain has had on the waterfall in Glencoe was going to stop for coffee at The Green Welly but it was too busy and a lot of buses in so we stopped at a lovely coffee at The Broch, Strathyre then a bit of shopping before arriving at the campsite. We called in at Halfords to see if they had any Fenwicks (Van cleaner) twice we have done this what a dead loss Halfords are becoming. Shower lunch the down to The Coffee Bothey.
6 September 2022 Stirling
Next day we cycled into Stirling then down to Bridge of Allen for coffee and after lunch just managed another coffee at the Bothey before the rain came (BIG time) WOW.
