Met up with friends from up north when arriving on site. Lunch then into Oxford along riverside for a walkabout showing them the sites.

Cycle again this morning down the river path to Oxford for some more site seeing coffee and cake. In the afternoon a cycle to Iffley Locks. Then catch up time sat in the sun

Cycle again for a good look about lovely day looking at the sights a good Sunday quiet at first. This site is pretty abysmal and breaks a few health and safety laws in my opinion.

Cycle this morning into Chichester and we came back via Bosham Keys. A relaxing afternoon.

This morning we took the campervan into have its repair done and we hired a car for the day. We drove up to Arundel to look at the castle but could only access the grounds. Walked up to the Cathedral but a service on.

Then we drove down to Portsmouth and had a bit a lunch. We then drove up to Hayling Island we then heard the van was fixed so we returned to pick up.

9 May 2022 Chichester

Befor setting off had another walk down into Cirencester for coffee on the way down through The Bathurst Estate I noticed a water tap cover from Thames Water that I thought was a bit odd considering The River Thames source is only a small stream about 21/2 miles from here?

Arrived in lovely sunny weather to a small site, we are here again waiting to get a small repair to the body work in Southampton soon (we hope).

10 May 2022 Chichester

A small amount of rain but we set off to cycle into Chichester for a walkabout and coffee noticed a statue that I didn’t spot last time of Nelson and a buddy of his.

Cycle this afternoon to Emsworth.

6  May 2022 Cirencester (41 Campsite 93 cycles)

Cycle into Bristol early for a coffee then on our travels for an Hour drive up to Cirencester, a bit of ASDA shopping arriving at the site for 1300. Walk into town via The Bathhurst estate back the road side. In the evening a walk up to Queen Ann’s Statue.

Walk into town for a look around and coffee in the afternoon watched a bit of cricket….same for our evening walk.

Cycle this morning out on route 45 not so good mainly on road bumpy same for the cycle way when we got on it disappointing cycle so back into town for coffee and cake yummy. Washing today then a walk into town in the afternoon and our usual evening walk up to The Bathhurst park.

Wow this site gets a lot of food wagons but it is a big site 211 pitches.

5  May 2022 Bristol

Cycle this morning for 3 hours out along the Bristol to Bath cycle path route 4 just beyond the staple Hill tunnel an interesting route with 2 diversions due to alterations. Coffee back in Bristol then a relaxing afternoon in the sun. A short evening walk tonight.

Cycle this morning up Ashton Manor park lots of deer about today over the Clifton Bridge into Clifton for a coffee then carried on down into Bristol City. In the afternoon had a walk into town a lovely warm day in the evening a short walkabout.

Cycle this morning up Ashton Manor park over the bridge again but this morning we did our never go down the same road twice thingy and had a really good look around Bristol where we haven’t been before same in the afternoon cycling past Bristol City football ground where there was a student graduation thingy going on a fab day out 20 Degrees temp today MAD HOT.

We found a large picture of Sustrans Cycle network and even noticed Maureen and I trying to get up the hill to Lyme Regis. NOT

2 MAY 2022 BRISTOL

Cycle down to Nailsea this morning mainly off road on cycle route 33 great crossing roads as the North Somerset Show was on and traffic was at a standstill. The town was not as we expected but Hay Ho it is what it is.

In the afternoon a walk around the wharfe but a bit busy. Passed a Banksey art work but not worth taking a picture of it.

Back up at Bristol Wharf after a wet day for travelling. Had a couple of hours walkabout in Bristol doing our exploring thingy going down some new streets that we haven’t been down before a lovely afternoon walkabout. The steam train was running down the basin today nice to see.

28 April 2022 Weston Super Mud

Cycle down to The farm shop at Halberton this morning for a coffee and lovely Cake then petrol shopping and up to Weston Super Mud. Booked in site mainly full of seasonal caravans with only a few touring pitches 6 maybe?

Cycle into town for a look about a bit run down, then an evening walk on Sand Bay beach-mud. This campsite does not have site wide internet only available in reception this is only the second campsite in Europe that has no site wide internet!!!!! Weston has some lovely artwork see images.

Cycle into town this morning for a good look about coffee at Costa a lot better experience than a few years ago.  Pontins down here is having a Harley Davison bike thingy on and a few vans have appeared on the site on the pitch next to us we have a panel van, a small van with awning on the grass and a car a first.

Walk along to Sand Bay head this afternoon then an evening walk.

Wow donkey rides

Cycle into town and along to the far end of the promenade twice a walkabout coffee then back to the site. You know when there could be a problem when you see this on the instructions.

Afternoon and evening walkabout on the beach. This is the last time we will visit here as the toilet cleaning is not up to our standards and we have extinguished our cycle routes and cannot get on the internet to explore new ones so we will leave the site a day earlier.
