Strange day petrol shortage no petrol at the first 2 stations but oddly managed to get some at Morrison’s. Then a crash at a tricky bend outside Taunton but only held up for 15 mins. Shopping women moaning because we took up 3 places WHAT #### Had a walkabout on the industrial estate and Next then a coffee at Costa.
Plymouth Hoe

Rain promised for all day so an early start for a cycle through Saltram House grounds to the Barbican then up onto Plymouth Hoe.
Our second saltwater pool, I have swam in this one many years ago. The rain starts and we get soaking wet on our cycle back to the site and at 1600 we are still drying out UCK.
Cycle this morning to Berry Head Brixham, what lovely houses out here with fab views we mainly came out here to look at the sea water open air swimming pool and end up having a coffee in town. In the afternoon we did our usual walk along the seafront. A lovely sunny day with lots of exercise again.
Bit of a none sort of day! sun showers sun showers can’t get out for more than a few short walks.

Ivy House ?
Lovely weather today so a cycle down to Dartmouth, wow hill work in abundance but a lovely town upper ferry across £1.40 lower ferry back £3.00 ? £1/2 hour cycle with coffee. While we looked round the small market we got a large angry looking fish to watch the bikes.
Cycle to Torqauy a good walk about and a coffee road diversions on but a good morning out. In the afternoon had a walk along the sea front in lovely weather.

Cycle to Brixham this morning on a good route of main roads and avoiding the hills. In the afternoon a walk again on the coastal path. New bins on the seafront as this place is very popular with crabbing.
Good drive down had a large vehicle behind and in front on the narrow road giving me good protection. Some shopping on route at Taunton and a bit windy on some parts of the M5.
Arrived at the site, lunch and shower then a 50 mins. walk into Paignton for a look about. On the way back a train passed FAB. Lovely sunny weather and warm.
Another wet start to the day but managed a walk down into town Uck! We did see something unusual for the Bristol Channel (The tide was in ?). Clothes washing as its a good day as we are confined to the van this afternoon. The site has gone from 9 Vans to almost full today.
Stuck in the van for the morning the high winds started about 0900 and then eased slightly about 1430 meaning we could get a walk down into the town without getting wet. Below are some more Metal Men.
Drive down as usual in Somerset on small road full of large vehicles. Arrived 1300 lunch shower and a walk into Minehead 20 mins. Lovely small town with some great shops.

Dunster Castle
Very windy night but fine first thing with sunshine so cycle up to Dunster village and castle very interesting then back into town started raining so back for lunch. After lunch a walk into town down to the harbor and another good day.
Yarn Market
There is a RED alert for a storm early in the morning and all tomorrows arrivals have been cancelled. But as you can see from the next image a good place to be sheltered a bit.
Thought we would have another cancelled day as it rained all morning but managed to get out for a walk to town in the afternoon and walked round the Bishops Palace to look at The Wells.
The below picture is of a bell the swans are supposed to ring when they want feeding?
trouble is it attracts a lot of birds these things virtually attacked me WHAT ### they even have their own telly in the water ??? Bottom picture.
