Weather has been mixed over the last two days but still getting out for walks between Showers. There was a football match on at the back of the site but not too many spectators.
The sea was rough today and made for a good picture. And our friends have left us for home SOB SOB.
A lovely start to the day so off with friends to walk into Brighton passed the Hospital and down to Brighton Pavillion on to the sea front by the pier wow some people swimming Brrrr. A 2 ½ hour walkabout.
Back to the site for lunch and shower then a look around the site at the decorations on the camping cars.
Cycled down to Hove along the seafront stopped for coffee then back into Brighton had a look around but to busy so back to the campsite for lunch. After lunch walked down to Marina. Another good day with Friends FAB

Cycled with Ray into Brighton and had a good look around The Lanes at the lovely shops and the Grafitti. Stopped for a Starbucks HORRIBLE experience dirty place and not social distancing won’t go back to this store again. Rained in the afternoon so did some laundry.

Cycle with both friends today back into The Lanes for some more exploring then up to Hove for a coffee at Down to Earth coffee ( Very Good 5 star). Back along the seafront for some last min. shopping. Wardens having a little outdoor party so joined and and had a good chat with some campers then had a walk round the cliff path and Marina. Rain again but another good day out.
Cycle round Bosham Quay again into town a lovely route, coffee then back to the site yet a different route again. Whilst out walking near the site we noticed the smallest post box ever see image
We also noticed a footpath to nowhere?
21 December 2021 Brighton
Drove up to Brighton this morning only 1 1/2 hours shopping then up to the site for 1300 Met up with our friends from Harrogate and after lunch walked down and around the marina what a lovely evening and a great start to our time with friends in Brighton over Christmas.
Cycle again round Bosham Quay to Chichester a new route we love some of the houses on Smugglers Lane especially SkyFall no James Bond but got a smile from the lady entering the drive. Back for lunch then a short cycle around the back roads to see how far we are from the Camping and Caravan club site that we have stayed at before. 2 Strange things that have happened whilst we have been here 1. Whilst driving on the M6 near Southport a small car passed us with the number plate AP7 today on our cycle a small car passed us with the number plate AP6. 2. While out cycling we saw Santa on a trike motorcycle and he new us because he waved back! Then today we saw him again on a push bike and he waved again! Hope he remembers us and brings us a lovely present at Christmas xx
This campsite has 2 electric car chargers and a Japanese takeaway on site and a lovely seating area behind the bar.
The toilet block here is so different to most campsites individual showers and wash basins in a separate area to toilets, (can you spot me in the mirror) they are unisex. There is an ice making room ?
We did use the laundry. Up early for a cycle into Chichester a busy road at one point. Walk about then made our way back a different route and luckily we saw lots of deer and the cockpit of an airplane in a field.
The picture below reminds us that we should be in Spain because the seat is (Muchas Gracias)
18 December 2021 Chichester
Had a cycle into town again going round Bosham Quay lovely views and some stunning houses down here. Coffee in town, back to the site for lunch then another cycle down to Bosham in the sunshine.
While cycling yesterday I noticed a ship in Poole Harbour with Not Electric Yet! And thought how funny Electric ships? It was The St. Helena the ship that carries the vehicles for Extreme Electric.
This morning we cycled down to Wareham for a look been before by bus, the cycle was a bit hairy in places due to it been next to a very busy road. Had a coffee then back for a drive to Chichester stopping for shopping just off the M27 arrived about 1430 site not to busy. At first the site looks stunning but the smoke from wood stoves in the tents belonging to some of the super pitches was a bit to strong due to light wind but the site did move us on request. The toilet block is like out of a hotel with small individual showers and toilets. Did our laundry and settled down for the night.
Cycle into town and a walkies round the shopping streets finishing with coffee. After lunch a walk round the country lanes near the site stopped and had a good chat with a couple out litter picking.
15th Cycle round Upton Park and Holes bay to Poole then on to Sandbanks this route is very muddy. After travelling most of England and Europe this is not what I consider to be a good place to live. Maureen got another puncture so after replacing the tube I called in at a new cycle shop next to Costa an bought a new Kevlar tyre and a spare tube and fit the new tyre on returning to the van a good day out.
Below is the view from Sandbanks beach looking across to Bournemouth and Old Harry Rocks
