Bad drive up roadworks around Leith a 1 Hr Journey took 2.5 Hr with a shop stop at Asda. Had a walkabout in the afternoon along Cramond beach.

Cycle up into Edinburgh this morning for a Starbucks coffee on Princes Street. Some lovely Graffiti on the cycle a lovely dragon and one I like (my type of woman (yellow)
Then a spot of drizzle rain and a lovely evening walk in sunshine lovely wild flower beds been planted since our last visit.
Walked into North Berwick along the John Muir trail a round trip of 2.5 hours. Another hare on the pitch and putt.
The footpath took us across a newly cropped corn field see below in town we came across a lovely little flower display outside a church stopped for a coffee in Buttercup cafe.
In the afternoon cycled right along the seafront to the far end lovely view back to North Berwick.
On our evening walk on the beach came across a giant octopus bet somebody had a great time building it.
Up early and cycled into town lovely and quiet then cycled up to Tantallon castle (closed).
Back into town to look at the shops this is a vibrant lovely little town. Stopped at the Buttercup cafe for a coffee. cycled back to the Dirleton and beyond.
Afternoon cycle to town again and a late evening walk down to the beach.
There is another Hare statue thingy going on in the area again.
An easy drive up to North Berwick after some shopping and a fuel stop. Grass pitch here so we hope it don’t rain as promised. A relaxing afternoon as we think the beach will be full.
After tea a walk down to the beach it was still a bit busy and there were millions of flying ants. A bit of thunder but no rain.
Still having a rest off the bikes and doing lots of walking early to avoid the crowds. Saw a large boot in a shop window love things like this as they take a lot of making. Moving day tomorrow so the ramps get a rest and make for the Gym.
A first for Berwick letting cruise ships arrive at docks the passengers are ferried ashore on inflatables about 8 at a time.
Had our bikes serviced at Berwick cycles everything looks good now.
Lots of walk about’s and coffee and cycling. Cycled down to Holy Island with friend 4 1/2 hour round trip 30 miles.
Managed to find a strange site on a beach a tennis racket and a lawn mower. Full moon so we noticed a low tide and the buoy is almost out of the channel.
Painted our friends block of wood to look as though some one was holding the van up.
Visit to The Old Hartley Whitley Bay friends joined us in their motorhome so a very busy time so no blog for a while. We have had lots of cycling up to Blyth and down to Tynemouth a few times and walks down to St Mary’s lighthouse and Seaton Sluice. Fish and chips one evening sat out lovely fish and chips again.
Travelled up to Berwick on Tweed a good journey stopped for some shopping busy site again. Still with friends so still busy cycling and walks. The bikes are going in for a big service in the morning so a walking day.

While walking along the Pier we were inspired to copy the advertisement on television see below.
Enjoyed painting the friends van wood decided to paint our chocks.
Cycle into Durham this morning up to The Cathedral walkabout a Costa coffee then back to the site for lunch then a cycle up towards Seaham managed as far as Hetton-le Hole but the cycle way is a bit difficult overgrown and muddy patches so gave up.
Short drive today about an hour so we walked into Whitby again for a coffee and visited a few more streets a good walkabout. The drive up was good over the moors. On arrival lunch then we found a new cycle route to us Route 14 into Durham bringing us into town alongside the river.
