What a difficult journey today there was a crash on the bridge at Stamford Bridge a wagon damaged the bridge so we were all turned round so we had a longer journey.
Booked in and had a walk down to Danes Dyke just over an hour.
Easy day on arrival as we had a good walk in Hawes before we left up to the Hardraw waterfall.
Day 2 we cycled up to Weatherby for a costa coffee and luckily the card machine was broken so we had free coffees wow. Then after lunch we cycled to Ripley Castle 4 hours cycling in total after tea a short walk and a bit of shopping.

Good journey down stopped at The Harvester at Ingleton but far to busy (lunch time).
Had a good walk about in town very busy as usual with bikers. The old limestone on wall tops is good to see but illegal now. Lovely to see the ducks on the river.

Our time in Keswick has come to an end and onwards we go with our travels, it has been good to see our friends and make some new ones, lots of coffee and cake and some lovely time on the hills.
Still in Keswick and we are cycling, walking and meeting friends for coffee. The weather has been good and we are managing some of the hills below is a picture of Maureen on Catbells.
The swans called round to see if there was any food? No but it does look as though they have lost a chick.
This weekend Keswick was busy due to the Lakeland tri.
Been across to our friends farm to see her and managed to feed the orphan lambs again.
Visited 2 friends in Millbeck for a coffee and catch up where we were joined by their geese and hens ( thanks for the eggs yummy).
Keswick busy today lots of Stag parties this evening. Get you lost tours managed to help a young couple lost by showing them a shortcut to their holiday property in Portinscale.
Walkabouts – I love these roots on Derwentwater foreshore. Keswick very busy at the moment so avoiding the crowds.
One of the gents toilet blocks is closed due to a blockage so they have only one now for the whole site over 200 pitches + tents 4 showers 4 toilets and washbasins? so no deep clean only wipe overs getting vey dirty. Sotted this picture in a bus shelter in Keswick.
Car in for MOT this morning (passed) we managed 4000 miles this year wow. Had a walk up Walla crag and a walk round the town in the evening. Below a picture of Maureen with The Derwentwater monster swimming away to her right.
8 June Met some friends for coffee and catchup drove round the lake and visited old haunts like Skiddaw car park and stopped by to see a friend in Millbeck. Had a walkabout with 2 people we meet on the campsite and showed them how to get to the starting point for their walk tomorrow.
9 June Lovely surprise this morning 2 swans with chicks walked past. Met up with a friend for a cycle to coffee shop at Threlkeld but weather a bit threatening today if it stops an evening walk to town.
Arrived in Keswick long wait to get in as usual. Pitched up then picked the car up and had a look at our friends new holiday cottage now its finished and ready for letting.
Took the car for a wash ready for a service tomorrow a late tea and a photo of the lake in the evening on a short walk.
