Alas bad weather so a walk into town then called in at Berwick Cycles for a new bike helmet. The washing machine on this site was out of order when we arrived on this site and has still not been fixed and has created a few problems for people on site, we did our by hand and used the dryer. This is the 3rd washer breakdown we have encountered since June.

Lovely sunny day so caught a bus up to The Roslyn Chapel, a long journey but interesting. The chapel was small but after watching a BBC 4 part documentary and The Da Vinci Code understood a lot about the place.

ros2

While waiting for the bus back to Edinburgh had a chat with a local at the bus stop on the benefits that it has brought to the community. Back for a coffee in Edinburgh, they are filming Fast and Furious 9 on George Street in Edinburgh today and for the next 4 weeks.

Steady drive down past the Kelpies arrived about 1100 after shopping. Lunch shower and up into Edinburgh to watch the Riding of The Marches.

h2

We followed the ride from Holyrood House up The Royal Mile. The 300 horses were followed by 2 road sweepers and a horrible pong! must have been the effort of travelling up hill!
