1 – 4 APRIL 2017 PARC DES MAURETTES NICE

1^st April 2017

 

Picked our friend Brenda up from Nice airport. Drove back to campsite and booked her into a chalet, then caught the bus into Nice. Got off on the promenade, walked along to the flower market, up into the main shopping centre, had coffee and caught the train back.

2^nd April 2017

Up early, Maureen went for a run, Brenda and Darian into the swim pool. Caught the train to Monte Carlo, down to the race track start line, round the harbour to look at the big yachts and managed to see someone making a film in the big tunnel.

Walked up to the Opera House, wandered around the Casino for a while, then coffee and cake at the Café de Paris – 3 coffees, 3 cakes €57.00 ouch!!!!

3^rd April 2017

All of us enjoyed half an hour in the swim pool and Jacuzzi. Caught bus to Cannes, some sort of series world exhibition on. Very interesting, walked around the harbour to see the big yachts again, sat on the promenade people watching, very interesting.

Walked around the town, great shops, coffee then train back to campsite.

4^th April 2017

Maureen off for a run, Brenda and Darian to the Jacuzzi again, today into Monte Carlo to the main casino where all the Bond movies are filmed.
