Drove down to Tarifa booked in then drove to Bolona to look at the Roman ruins CLOSED Monday lots of wild campers down here due to high winds for wind surfing, also lots of windmills.
Took a wrong turn at one point and ended up in the Sahara desert. (see Picture).
We are just a short way from North Africa you can see it from the beach. Drove up to Gibraltar for the afternoon had a walk about by the marina looked at the Ship Hotel that we where going to stop in looks good, it is so British down here that we got soaking wet( to the skin), crossing the runway was like been in an Arctic storm WOW is not a loud enough phrase for how we felt, we then had to speed undress (I won) as we had to leave the parking area within a set time lots of wow’s today.
Had a walk on the beach in the evening. Tomorrow will have to wash the wheels as they covered in mud from a bad pitch they are down a couple of inches good job we have traction control for getting off in the morning for our journey to Cadiz.
Arrived nice n early good pitch. Heated swimming pool “Open” 6 Km east from Estapona €15 per day ACSI, walked on beach one way had lunch and walked the other way the beach flats are lovely can see why Cilla Black lived here. Good views of Gibraltar across the Bay.
