25 – 26 July 2018 Salisbury
Cycled down to Poole for a coffee as we only have a short drive today and are not leaving the site until 11.30. Nice steady drive from Poole on fairly quiet roads. Booked in then had lunch and then took the bus into town. Visited Salisbury in 2011 but still went to have another look at the cathedral. After tea went for a short walk to look at the Old Sarum the site of the original cathedral and ruins of the castle. Above is the view of the Old Sarum with Salisbury Cathedral to the right of the third tree. You can click the image above for a larger picture.
Thursday out with the bikes and we decided to cycle route 45 to Stonehenge. We were out about 2.5 hours which included lunch at the Bridge Inn (named after us).
Very hot day, difficult to cycle so just resting in the shade (32C).
